Helping a sister church

CrossRoads is excited to be partnering with Compass Church this weekend for another Kingdom Party.  This Kingdom party will be held at the Boys and Girls Club on the east side of St. Paul, 620 Ames Ave. Compass Church is a new Covenant Church plant making this Kingdom Party their initial outreach and introduction to their community.  This is an awesome time for us to come along side our brothers and sisters to display the love of Jesus to their neighbors by giving them, as Jesus told us to, a free party (Luke 14:12-14).

The party will be 11:00-1:00 this Saturday, September 29^th.  We are in need of some volunteers to help us run the event so that the members of Compass can be out front meeting and introducing themselves to their neighbors.  Volunteers would need to help play games with the kids, staff the inflatable obstacle course, change out trash cans and help clean up.

Want to download Sanctuary messages to your Ipod? It's easy! First, to the left underneath "Download Messages," You'll notice a small icon that says "Podcast Sanctuary messages via iTunes." If you click on the icon it will take you to the Sanctuary podcasting site on iTunes. 

FEEDS

RSS FEEDS are the second new feature to the Sanctuary site and is located on the lower left side of the page.  Don't be alarmed if you don't know what RSS FEEDS means.  It's not all that important.  All you need to know is how they work. 

You'll notice there are two choices available under FEEDS.

All Meal Group participants will join Scot McKnight for dinner at CrossRoads. Scot will be speaking on his book (our MG book) Embracing Grace--a gospel for all of us.

C.R.O.P. Walk 2007

The annual South Washington County C.R.O.P. Walk will take place Sunday, October 14, 2-4 pm in  Old Cottage Grove

The C.R.O.P. Walk raises much-needed money for Church World Service, an international hunger and disaster relief organization, as well as local food shelves (Loaves & Fishes and Friends in Need).  This is an ecumenical community event that brings people together from all walks of life to walk for those in need. Last year, 78    walkers, from 11 churches and 1 service  organization from SWC helped raise $8,178.25.  Our goal this year is to raise over $12,000! Prayer Team Training

God is calling Sanctuary to deepen its prayer life. In fact, I believe God will not give Sanctuary the power it needs to fulfill its calling until we deepen our prayer life. God has given Sanctuary a godly man, Troy Dalldorf, to lead its prayer ministry and Troy will be holding a prayer team training session next Thursday, September 27th at 7:00 at CrossRoads. Should you come? Pray about it.

Meal Group Deadline is Friday at midnight!!!

Time's a wastin', folks! Next Sunday at 4:00 PM at CrossRoads we will launch our SANCTUARY fall Meal Groups with a great meal and a great talk by scholar, author, and all around great guy Scot McKnight. Scot will be with us to talk about his book Embracing Grace--a gospel for all of us. Please join us as we grow closer as a community and closer to God. FYI: Scot will also be our special guest speaker at Sanctuary next Sunday night.
