A book recommendation...

 

My online debate with my atheist friend has proven very rewarding. At present we have each given the other a book to read that helps articulate our worldview. Jeff (the atheist) has asked me to read Letter to a Christian Nation by Samuel Harris. Samuel Harris is part of a new string of authors dubbed the "New Atheists." These are atheists who not only don't believe in God, but they believe all religion should be abandoned, and they are on a quest to spread their message. Their books are flying off the shelves and I think it important we know about this new trend.

I have asked Jeff to read Simply Christian by N. T. Wright. Wright is considered by many to be our generation's C. S. Lewis. Wright is one of the most influential Christian writers alive right now, and if I could wave a magic wand, I would have everyone at Sanctuary read Simply Christian. So, abra-cadabra! If you're able, pick up a copy of Simply Christian.
