Donation Bins:
CrossRoads people serve in several
ministries that reach out to our neighbors in the Twin Cities. We have set
up donation bins for these ministries by the mail boxes. These ministries
are:
Praxis: Meeting the practical
needs of the homeless in the East Metro
Needs: Lip balm, used backpacks, any article of clothing that is gently used (t-shirts, pants, coats, hats, etc) male and female underwear and socks, deodorant, snack bars, small Bibles, water, sun block, light jackets, harmonicas, feminine hygiene products, band-aids and ointment.
The Ethel Gordon Community Care Center: Transitional housing for women and children
Needs: Bedding; Towels; Bleach; Cleaning supplies; Laundry supplies; Toiletry products; Gift card for Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart or Rainbow.
New Life Family Services: Ministry for unplanned pregnancies
Needs: Baby Items (diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifiers, formula, baby food, shampoo, etc), stamps, thank-you notes, paper towels, Post-It notes, pocket folders, supplies for Birth Mother Bags (journals, disposable cameras, picture frames, hand lotion, fingernail polish, devotion book)
Metro Hope and Brothers in Christ Ministries: Ministering to people suffering life-controlling habits
Needs: Men’s and women’s socks, underwear, toothpaste, toothbrush; soap, razors, shave cream, combs, brushes, shampoo, Q-tips, towels. Aslo feminine hygiene products and bras
Bill’s Pantry: Nutrition for people living with HIV/AIDS in the Twin Cities.
Needs: Rarely donated foods, such as cooking oil, sugar, coffee & tea, and jellies & jams. Also brown grocery bags with handles.
